Tercera parte (50 puntos ) (el 14 de mayo) --> we are not going to do this. Instead, we will do writing exam.
- ROLE PLAY
A: You are planning a trip. Call the travel agent and ask 4-5 questions to find out the different travel options. I will be the travel agent and you are calling me.
B: You were riding a bicycle at Ritter Park, and saw an incredible accident. Later the police officer came and ask you all about what you have witnessed. I will be the police officer and you will be a witness.
C: You have been taking an evening class for the last 9 weeks for credit. There is an in-class presentation in the final meeting next week, but you will be out of town for three days for your sister’s wedding. Explain your situation and try to arrange something with the instructor. You are student and I will be the instructor.

Me gusta tocar el piano y cantar, pero no tengo mucho tiempo para practicar el piano.

Pero no me gusta nada hacer las tareas domésticas (housework) aunque tengo que hacerlas mucho si tengo el tiempo libre.

Cuando era joven, me molestaba mucho el humo de cigarillo de mi papá. Estaba estudiando para el examen o algo así, de repente me olí el humo. Cambié el cuarto de estudiar, pero todavía me olí muchísimo porque el olor ya estaba en mi cabello. Tristemente mi papá murió de cáncer de plumones.
7. Habla sobre tu futuro (futuro)
En mi futuro, quiero estudiar en la Universidad de Ohio en Athens. Estudiaré la biología. Si es posible, me gustaría trabajar en el laboratorio durante el estudio universitario, pero quiero ser un médico para los niños. Quiero salvar las vidas de los niños en Africa.
8. Con un millón dólares, ¿qué harías?
Primero, me gustaría viajar al mundo con mi familia.

You have found a job online, this job is to teach English online.
First, you have read the email from the human resource person (Sra. Egnor), and You are writing an email back to this human resource person that you do not know well. Your ultimate goal is, of course, to get hired, but first you are writing to get an appointment for a job interview.
In this writing,
- Begin your email response with “Estimada la Sra. Egnor”
- you should use USTED (instead of Tú) throughout the email.
- include the reason why you are writing an email
- your personal data (name, where you are from, age, personality, characteristics, etc)
- Sell yourself (why they should hire you)
- Suggest appointment time. and ask one question to her. (you need to create a question: work hours? payment? )
- End your email with “Atentamente,” and your name.
On the exam day, you are writing pen and pencil so that you DO NOT HAVE access to translating devices.
